‘Protecting the corrupt:’ Rosie Pino slams Pou in response to Insider Trading Vote

CLIFTON, N.J. — Friday, four-term local elected official and Republican Nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s 9th District, Rosie Pino, blasted Nellie Pou’s ‘NO’ vote on the Stop Insider Trading Act.

“Members of Congress are elected to serve their communities and the American people, not to pad their own pockets. By voting against the Stop Insider Trading Act, Nellie Pou chose to protect the corrupt Washington politicians who get rich from insider trading.

Nellie’s vote is absolutely shameful and out-of-touch with the values of working families she was elected to represent.

NJ-09 deserves a representative with integrity, who believes lawmakers should play by the exact same rules as everyone else. That’s why I’m running for Congress.”

New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District encompasses 35 municipalities in Passaic, Bergen, and Hudson Counties. President Trump swung the 9th District by 20 points in 2024, winning it by 1.1%. NJ-9 is a NRCC target seat and one of 13 Trump-won districts currently held by a Democrat.
