Trenton to takeover Atlantic City, fall referendum?

Video source: NBC online

NBC TV has reported that Atlantic City is on the brink of a shutdown, and that City workers will not be paid their regular two-weeks checks, but there is a proposal for them to be paid in 28 days instead.

Meanwhile, communities in northern New Jersey are planning to have casinos, which Gov. Christie reportedly said would fail unless AC accepts the plans for Trenton to takeover their city and manage their crisis.

There will be a ballot referendum question this fall regarding North Jersey’s plans for casinos. Gov. Christie plans to campaign against the referendum unless AC accepts Trenton’s assistance and turn New Jersey’s only premier casino community into prosperity.
