Sirmans is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, and advocate for refugee empowerment. His career has spanned journalism, business leadership, and international relations. He co-founded financial technology company MainStreet Technologies, which was acquired by private equity leaders AKKR and Carlyle in 2018. He then co-founded Amplio Ventures, an investment firm dedicated to fostering growth in businesses owned or supported by refugees. He recently completed graduate studies at Harvard in International Relations, with a focus on refugees and migration.
