BBMA celebrates iconic musicians
The legendary Celine Dion reminded the 2016 Billboard Music Awards audience, “the show must go on” in her tribute to her late husband, right before accepting the Billboard Icon Award on a night when music featured variety.
Madonna also reminisced that “nothing compares to you,’’ among other song selections, in her tribute to the late Prince.
Other singers such as Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Pink, Britney Spears, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani wowed the crowd with songs from new and old albums.
The music included a variety of country and pop hits.
